Merry In-between-mas! Is your brain doing mental flips like mine?!

I LOVE this bit between Christmas and NY. It’s so fun for dreaming (I’m working through Leonie Dawson’s Biz year book) - however, it’s such a wild energy! I can’t possibly keep up with all the things my brain is suggesting I do come Jan 1st.
Am I really going to do ALL TEN of these new habits? Like every day?
And, there’s actually more than ten but I can’t even remember half of what my brain’s suggested as I’m driving or being ‘Mark’ in the endless Christmas game of Mum and Dad …
The thing I really love is that you can do all this dreaming whilst not having to actually do it yet! It’s the ultimate permission to rest because no-one starts on December 30th, right?!

So, while my mind has been flipping and thinking of all the fun things I want to do next year … my body (in-between teaching a 6-year-old to roller-skate - some kind of torture - and being Mark in the aforementioned game) has been lying on a sofa enjoying the Gavin and Stacy Finalé (SO GOOD), GoggleBox (I’ve not seen it for years and it was a workout because I was laughing so hard) and The Split Barcelona (which I spotted yesterday when my kids were happy doing other things or sleeping, so I binged that baby).
All in all, I feel like I’m riding the weirdest week of the year pretty well. And, I’ve been really leaning into my Word for Winter, which is Nurture! Whilst trying not to take all this NY energy too seriously and remembering what day of the week it is.
It’s fun to have goals and dreams and to write them down (because if you don’t how do you know they’ve happened?) … they just don’t need to all happen on January 1st.
Vision Boarding
With that in mind, I can’t wait to make my goals into a vision board on Sunday! I’m hosting an evening retreat with
on Sunday 5th January where we will tap into all those beautiful dreams and goals during a magical and restorative Yoga practice, lead by me and then Lou, will take over and guide to making a vision board.I’m excited. I feel like I’ve never been so ready to see these dreams in a visual way, it really helps to feel it when you can see it.
There are a couple of spaces left, if you would like to come in person - which I would love - and, of course, you can join us online too from the comfort of your living room. Oh joy for being under a blanket in PJs without the FOMO!

I think mine is going to be Connection (last year it was Compassion, which I loved - a constant reminder to be kind to myself and others… very helpful while I was finishing my book, How to Divorce Sober) but I'll see what else comes up over the next week or so.
