My Love!
Happy New Year!!!!!
I wasn’t especially well over NY, so aside from a post-lemsip moment of madness where I wanted to host an impromptu party, Dan and I were dressed up for a fancy lunch and in bed for 10:30pm (we watched My Old Ass in-between these things and it was brilliant!). I absolutely loved it!
Here’s my 2024 highlight carousel:
I was all set to not get caught up in new-year-new-me vibes…
{If I learnt anything last year (the year I FINALLY learnt - understood, felt in my being - what Compassion means *hear more here*) … it’s that everything takes a lot longer than you think and you have to be really, really kind to yourself in the process and accept yourself as you are or you will cock-block success}
… but I just can’t not get excited about all the possibilities a whole, fresh new year offers!
However, I say this very much from under a blanket and with a ‘we got time’ attitude.
2025 = CONNECTION
I’ve picked my word for 2025… Connection … which can mean a lot of things from reconnecting with old friends to the flight connection in Amsterdam that we’ll be doing in the summer for my brother’s wedding in Japan!
I’ve been meditating on it this morning and conjuring up mental images.
I keep adding more things too so I’m sure this word will give me plenty of lessons!
Nurturing Connection
Back at the start of winter (with the help of this beautiful meditation) I also chose a word for winter … Nurture
I love planning and dreaming (it calms my nervous system according to my watch!), so I’m leaning in and doing this thing that I love with a winter approach;
Gentle and Nurturing and Under-the-Blankety.
Not so much a new-year-new-me explosion, more a slowly-sowing-seeds exercise ready for a fabulous spring.
Spring is when I naturally want to be and do more anyway - it’s my birthday on the spring equinox for a start (so my NY and I’m planning to host a FREE spring equinox fire ceremony on the beach if you fancy it?) and, well, it’s spring; the time of blossom, birds and bees, and baby bunnies!
In the meantime, you can find me planning and dreaming under a blanket1 and very happy to connect!
So, tell me …
What’s your word for the year?
Are you raring to go with NY energy?
Or feeling a bit slower like me?
Loads of nurturing love,
Hannah XOX
